Canada Fall Tour Travel Journal Entry 2

October 2, 2011
Halifax, Canada
Day 2

Ottawa went well, with the VIP, Lecture, and then ghost hunt. Tyler and Jessica of SpiritQuest were a great hand as our volunteers.

Over the years of doing lectures, it has become only semi easy to stand in front of a large crowd and talk. What I do enjoy is seeing the reaction of the crowd when they see the evidence. Ryan tells the story and then we show the evidence, and I've seen people surprised or horrified.

After the lecture, we had a short break to allow the audience out for the ghost hunt. We devided the group in half, so that some would go upstairs with Sergey for Ganzfeld while the rest staid on the stage with Ryan and I for a seance. The centre did have rumors from of people seeing shadows and hearing strange sounds. We decided to do a very simple version of "One Hundered" candles, since it would put everyone in the spirit mood. Many ghost stories from guests of their own experiences were told including myself and Ryan. I hope to do this again at the other locations, and maybe even use candles this time.

After the Ghost hunt, we packed up everything and decided late night food was needed. The PRS crew and the volunteers headed to a local diner that is open 24 hours and claims to have the best poutin around. Elgin Street Diner is a place that is perfect to head to after a night the bar or club. These are my favorite places to eat at; especially late at night.

The poutin turned out really good, and it was a lot of fun to just sit and chat while enjoying diner food. When we left, all of the bars and clubs were letting out and quickly filling the small diner.

With an early flight to Halifax, we only got a few hours sleep before catching a plane to Halifax.

Sunday is a our down time before Monday's lecture at the Neptune Theater.
